Congratulations to the following children who have had their wonderful drawings printed in the local LINK parish magazine and each winning a Cadbury selection box - Jude (YR), Eryn (Y1), Isabelle (Y2), Eddie (Y3), Pollyanna (Y5) and Finley S (Y6) A very special congratulations to the overall winner, George (Y4), who has his drawing on the front cover of the magazine. He received a prize of £10 - well done George!
The children had a fantastic time in the planetarium today with lots of great learning taking place. Charlie (Y1) said, 'we saw Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon' and Billy (YR) said, 'we saw a rocket take off.' The experience inspired Hedgehogs to write poetry and perform a dance. Adders enjoyed the opportunity to ask lots of questions!
We have received a letter from the Stowmarket Foodbank thanking us for our donation!
Thank you to all the children for donating money for this worthy charity today. We have raised a fantastic £220 and have really enjoyed some delicious Pudsey biscuits and cakes made by our lovely school cook.
The children in Hedgehogs have had a fantastic 'Ancient Egypt' day. Margot said, 'I loved painting our death masks' and Austyn really enjoyed making his Canopic jar. 'Mine has a jackal head', he said. 'I want today to go on forever!'
A big thank you to Y6 librarians Avah, Freya, Isobel, Mia and Nicole for organising a whole school competition to design a picture book. The winning entries were Imogen, Harriett, Eddie, Millie and Edith - well done all of you!
For the weekly ACE Award winners and winner of the Attendance Trophy, please see 'Achievements' under the 'Important Information' section.
The Harvest Festival collection has amounted to a fantastic £62! This will be donated to the Stowmarket Food Bank. Well done to everyone for rummaging around at home and gathering up all the loose coins!
