  • A week of Christmas cheer!

Fri 16 Dec 2022 Mrs Chinnery

What a fabulous last week of term we have had here in school. Although it's been a very cold and icy one, the children have managed to get outside onto cleared areas of the playground and enjoy some frosty fresh air.

This week we had the Reception and KS1 Nativity held here in school. The children did so well and performed and sang so confidently. Well done to all involved.

Today we held our last celebration assembly of the year and it was wonderful to reflect on all of our ACE learning that has taken place this term. We finished the assembly by the whole school performing two songs 'Merry Christmas Everyone' and 'We wish you a Merry Christmas' using Bristish Sign Language. The children have been learning the songs in assembly time and it was amazing to see the whole school signing so confidently and in time with each other.  Well done everyone!

  • Christmas is coming!

Fri 09 Dec 2022 Mrs Chinnery

Christmas activities are now well under way...

Our Christmas tree is up in the hall and the school council have done a fantastic job in decorating it! The classrooms are decorated and Christmas carols and songs fill the hall during our singing assemblies and Nativity rehearsals.

On Wednesday we tucked into Christmas lunch after making some fabulous party hats! We had Christmas songs playing and to make it really special, each child received a little wooden Christmas decoration with a name label provided by FOSS.

Today we had FOSS come into school to do Christmas crafts and stories with all of the children.

The Foxes and Otters classes are practicing for their Nativity play which will take place on Wednesday 14th December. This is followed by class Christmas parties on the Thursday and a special visit from Father Christmas himself and lastly not forgetting Christmas jumper day on Friday 16th, the last day of term.

Christmas is well and truly on it's way!
