At Somersham today, we welcomed the Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service volunteer team to school. They delivered a series of ACE workshops with all the classes looking at fire safety around the home and with sparklers - especially at this time of year with regards to fireworks events around the country.

The Adders class had a water safety workshop later in the day, looking at the dangers of cold water and carrying out scientific investigations in class to see how quickly cold water can have an impact on our bodies.

Fun was also had by some of our classes trying on the fire safety equipment and clothing.

It proved to be another fun and ACE learning day for all!
