Otters and Foxes had a wonderful day at the zoo to conclude our 'Amazing Africa' topic. They were ACE learners; reading facts, asking questions and observing the animals closely. We got to see a range of African animals as well as a few more weird and wonderful creatures from around the world. We travelled on the train and walked through the lemur enclosure hoping to meet some furry friends! Children also spotted similarities to the Ndebele art we had learnt about. The children represented Somersham School perfectly and we were very proud of them. Here are a few thoughts they had about the day. 

" I like how the lion got so close up to us." 

 "I liked it when we went in where we could see the python underwater. The giraffe was really smelly." 

"I enjoyed seeing the Burmese python because it was the biggest snake I saw in my life.We saw the lion and that was one of the most fierce African animals." 

"I liked the giraffes because I liked their spots."
